CERC, the state’s leading nonprofit economic development firm, has hired West Hartford-resident Anthony Naples and Cheshire-resident Mia Ying to extend the organization’s business recruitment and research initiatives.
Anthony Naples is a Business Recruitment Specialist and provides overall support to CERC’s business development initiatives by coordinating recruitment efforts and managing relationships with key stakeholders in Connecticut’s business community and economic development network. Prior to joining CERC, he worked for the Connecticut Business and Industry Association researching economic trends, data, and state policies affecting the state’s business community. Anthony received both a bachelor’s in political science and a master’s in public administration (MPA) from UCONN.
As a Research Analyst, Mia Ying is responsible for conducting a wide range of economic analyses including economic and fiscal impacts; demographic, economic and fiscal trend reports; benchmarking and best practice studies; surveys and more. A native of China, Mia came to the U.S. to attend the University of Connecticut where she received a bachelor’s and master’s in economics, as well as a master’s in business analytics and project management.
