CERC, the state’s leading nonprofit economic development firm, has hired Hartford-resident Jessica Inacio to assist with CERC’s business recruitment and research initiatives, and Manchester-resident Sadie Colcord to intern with CERC’s municipal services.
Jessica Inacio is a Business Development Associate and will provide overall support to CERC’s business development initiatives by coordinating recruitment efforts and managing relationships with key stakeholders in Connecticut’s business community and economic development network. She also helps manage CERC SiteFinder®, Connecticut’s local source for commercial real estate and demographic data to help businesses analyze a potential investment. Prior to joining CERC, she worked for City of Hartford as an executive policy advisor, and the Connecticut General Assembly as a legislative aid. Inacio received dual undergraduate degrees in political science and sociology from Bucknell University, and a recent master’s in public administration from UCONN.
As a Municipal Services Intern, Sadie Colcord will work with CERC’s Vice President of Municipal Services to provide assistance to local towns, such as grant writing and developing strategies for growing the local business community. She also recently interned with CBIA, the Affordable Housing Collaborative, CT Main Street Center and the New Haven Town Green Special Services District. Colcord has a master’s in public administration and bachelor’s in economics - both from UCONN.
“We welcome Jessica and Sadie to the CERC team as we grow our municipal and business recruitment efforts,” said Robert Santy, President and CEO of CERC. “The strength of our staff and their skills are key to providing collaborative services to our state, local and utility partners to help Connecticut be competitive.”
