The Connecticut Economic Resource Center, Inc. (CERC), the state’s leading nonprofit economic development firm, has announced that John O’Toole, Community Relations and Economic Development Lead at Eversource, is the newly elected chair of the board.
“John is one of CERC’s longest serving board members, and he brings a deep understanding of our organization and economic development as a whole to this role,” said Robert Santy, President and CEO of CERC.
At Eversource, O’Toole is responsible for community relations in Connecticut’s Capitol Region and serves as a liaison to key state, regional and local economic development organizations. He joined Northeast Utilities in 1999 after serving three terms as first selectman of the town of Seymour, Connecticut. Roberts Developer of the Year.
In addition, three new members are joining the board: Nicole Grant, Economic Development Specialist with The United Illuminating Company; Virginia (Ginny) Kozlowski, Executive Director of REX Development (elected by Southern Connecticut Gas); and Brad Mondschein, Partner at Pullman and Comley.
In addition, the CERC board re-elected the following executive board members: Edward (Ted) Norris of the Regional Water Authority as Treasurer; and Bill Vallée of the State of Connecticut Office of Consumer Counsel as Secretary.
