Brazilian Company Hosts Event to Celebrate Success and Continuity of Operation in Connecticut

New Haven, January 2018 - Prosperi, a Brazilian company that specializes in portfolio and project management services, will host a free project management workshop and a reception on the afternoon of January 24th to celebrate the success and continuity of its New Haven operation with local authorities and business community.

Prosperi is one of 10 members of New Haven's Hub55, a business center for Brazilian companies starting in Connecticut. Hub55 was created in partnership with city and state economic development officials, including the Connecticut Economic Resources Center, Inc. and Brazilian entities like the Ministry of Science and the Brazilian Consulate in Hartford.

Over a period of six months, member companies of Hub55 like Prosperi have been testing the local market and adapting their business plan and model to meet local requirements. With the support of Hub55 staff, the company participated in events, met potential partners and clients, and adjusted their products and services.

The resulting support and prospects obtained during the test period helped Prosperi to decide to maintain and expand the Connecticut operation. "Prosperi has grown a lot in Brazil. The investment in the United States was, of course, our next step to access a broader market.” said Leonardo Feitosa Nogueira, CEO of the company. He has already bought an apartment in the U.S., registered the company and is in the process of obtaining a work visa.

The company, which is an international partner of Microsoft, will maintain its headquarters in Connecticut and a secondary office in Florida. "From New Haven, we will first plan to grow the northeastern U.S. area and then, perhaps, expand to other regions. In Florida, we will focus mainly on Latin America and the Caribbean markets," explained the CEO.

The public is invited to register for Prosperi’s Project Management Workshop.
