2019 Connecticut Economic Development Week

May 6 - 10, 2019 is Economic Development Week in Connecticut (#CTED2019), as the International Economic Development Council (IEDC)’s Economic Development Week and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)’s National Small Business Week coincide.

IEDC’s Economic Development Week (#EDW2019) is meant to increase awareness for local programs that create jobs, advance career development opportunities and increase the quality of life in communities. As the world's largest membership organization serving the economic development profession, IEDC is a non-profit, non-partisan membership organization.

SBA’s National Small Business Week (#SBW2019) is observed across the country the first week in May. The annual event recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.

CERC has put together a special CERCONOMY podcast series, featuring partner economic development organizations and programs.
