CERC’s hometown of Rocky Hill initially reached out to CERC for research and data to help the town’s economic development professionals target their business retention and recruitment efforts to attract the industries and retailers most likely to grow and succeed in town.
Using input from the analyses as well as input from the Town's economic development director and representation from the Economic Development Commission (EDC), CERC developed a marketing strategy focusing on the identified key target industries in order to recruit new business, fill real estate vacancies, and ultimately generate additional tax revenue and jobs.
The resulting marketing program aimed to market the assets of Rocky Hill and available parcels in the next 6-18 months and attract business prospects in the key industry sectors. In addition to showcasing the Town's central location, responsive government and low tax rate, the marketing message also positioned Rocky Hill as being able to accommodate growth without sacrificing their small-town atmosphere. The program was presented by CERC and accepted by the EDC for implementation.
"CERC is always responsive to our request. Their professionalism and dedication is exemplified through their work, and we now have a marketing workplan that fits our Town’s objectives. We've utilized their services in the past and will continue to utilize them in the future..."
