The City of Meriden, in partnership with Meriden Economic Development Corporation, recently established the new Making Meriden Business Center – and wanted to connect with local downtown businesses and develop an array of materials to showcase the Center with its branded logo. CERC provided services to create office signage and a design package of letterhead and business cards for the Center’s grand opening in March.
In addition, CERC worked with the Center’s Business Development Specialist, City’s Economic Development Office, and the Midstate Chamber of Commerce to administer a business survey to ask the downtown businesses for their feedback about opportunities/challenges for growth and new ways to improve downtown Meriden. The survey was provided in both English and Spanish to accommodate the languages of the Center’s key audiences. CERC also coordinated a letter mailing and follow up postcard to targeted businesses to collect and increase survey responses.
The result was a coordinated effort to bring visibility and enhanced purpose to the new Center, expand the reach and impact of the Center to the downtown audience it serves, and positively help Meriden’s business and economic growth.
“The CERC team was an absolute pleasure to work with on this critical initiative. Everyone was very proactive and collaborative throughout, and we look forward to continuing this partnership as Meriden focuses on the economic rebound of its downtown.”
