Town of Tolland – Tolland Village Retail Market Study

The town of Tolland was considering the potential for the Tolland Village Area, a land area off of exit 68 on Interstate 84 to the north. The Village Area was zoned for a mixed use area including the potential for residential units, a hotel, restaurants, and other retail. The town wanted to consider what the area’s market supported, and whether there was a unique value proposition, as well as what the potential could be as a result of The University of Connecticut’s recent mixed use expansions.

Travelers Championship – Economic Impact Analysis and Attendee Survey

The Travelers Championship is a PGA TOUR event that takes place at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut. The stakeholders of the tournament were interested in better understanding the economic effects of the week-long professional golf tournament on the state’s economy. The following year, leadership came back to CERC seeking to gain clarity concerning overall satisfaction of the attendees of the week-long event and to understand the attendees’ time and spending habits once at the tournament.

Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board (NRWIB) Community Audit and Needs Assessment

In 2007, the NRWIB hired CERC to prepare, collect, analyze, write and present a comprehensive audit and needs assessment to provide the NRWIB with an overview of the communities it serves, in terms of population, demographics, skill level of current workforce, and labor market information. In 2011 CERC was hired to complete an updated analysis, which included real-time labor market data thanks to a relationship with Monster Worldwide.
