The Connecticut Economic Research Center, Inc. (CERC) has just released the latest statistics on Connecticut's 169 towns.  CERC has updated their town profiles, which list detailed demographic, housing, education and workplace data for each community.

Although CERC performs continuous updates to the profiles as new data become available, this is the most significant update of the year.  Variables include total population, race and ethnicity mixes, age cohorts, average SAT scores, business sectors, tax rates, housing sales, commuter and quality of life statistics.

"Our goal is to ensure that current economic information is readily available and accessible to residents and businesses looking to evaluate these locations," said Jeffrey Blodgett, vice president of research at CERC.

As one of the many comprehensive data products available through CERC's research services, the town profiles are available free-of-charge through the click of the mouse online at http://www.cerc.com/townprofiles.html.
