Real estate professionals, who together facilitated 62 property transactions in 2005 using CERC SiteFinder, were recently recognized for their efforts in the eighth-annual SiteFinder Sweepstakes. Conducted annually by CERC, the drawing rewarded randomly selected members of SiteFinder who submitted completed transactions that were aided by the use of SiteFinder. These real estate deals resulted in 1.8 million square feet of leased or purchased space last year in Connecticut.

Managed by CERC, SiteFinder is Connecticut's most comprehensive online database of available commercial and industrial real estate. Membership allows a region, town or broker to promote available real estate on the nationally marketed web site, www.CTSiteFinder.com, which currently lists more than 2,300 properties representing more than 44 million available square feet, with exposure to more than 120 real estate firms and their brokers. Since its inception in 1997, nearly 13 million square feet of space in Connecticut has been leased, purchased or constructed via SiteFinder.

Vance Taylor of AMS Real Estate (Torrington), David Dan DiBuono of Tower Realty Group (Brookfield), and Mark Duclos, Sherri Thompson, and Alan Bolduc of Sentry Commercial (Hartford) were selected as grand prize winners and each receiving $500. Taylor was awarded for the Holyland Management transaction - an investment purchase of a 30,000 square foot mixed use building in Winsted (co-broke with Dom Giglio of Giglio & Krasney). DiBuono was recognized for the Taunton Press deal in which the company expanded into Newtown with 30,000 square feet (co-broke with Ed Godin of Matthews Commercial). Duclos, Thompson and Bolduc sealed the deal with J&J's Tri-State Delivery Service, Inc. - a New Jersey Company that leased 127,000 square feet at 550 Research Parkway in Meriden (co-broke with Dave Richard from Colliers Dow & Condon).

"SiteFinder is always my one-stop shopping source for commercial real estate in Connecticut," said Taylor. "No other service provides me with such a wide variety of resources, and based on the transactions I've completed over the years as a direct result of SiteFinder, the return on my investment has consistently been outstanding."

With higher stakes this year, there were two winners drawn in the category of "listing administrator." Kathleen Yager from OR&L Commercial (Rocky Hill) was chosen and awarded a $300 gift certificate to Westfarms Mall and Lea Brunette from Colonial Realty (Fairfield) was awarded a $300 gift certificate to Danbury Fair Mall.

The following additional third-prize winners were awarded prizes of $50 gift certificates: Ed Godin of Matthews Commercial (Waterbury); Steve Patten from The Proto Group (North Haven); Anna Hilbrecht of CB Richard Ellis (Hartford); David Gorbach from Colonial Realty (Fairfield); Dana Barnes of Concord Equity (Moodus); and Jennifer Rancourt and David Barnes from CB Richard Ellis (Hartford).
