Connecticut real estate professionals were recently recognized for their efforts in the quarterly CERC SiteFinder® Sweeptakes.  The drawing rewarded randomly selected users of SiteFinder, Connecticut's most comprehensive online database of available commercial and industrial real estate, who together facilitated 12 property transactions in Connecticut during the third quarter of 2007.

Recent sweepstakes winners were:
First Prize of $400: Submitting Brokers - Rich Lee & Toby Brimberg of OR&L Commercial for a 78,600 SF lease at 1 Forest Parkway in Shelton by Dianon Systems.  Dianon leased the entire building for offices and lab space.  This will be Dianon's East Coast headquarters.  They have other facilities in Denver and San Diego.

Second Prize of $100:  Submitting Broker - Don McLaughlin of The Windsor Management Company for a 2,500 SF lease at 9B Old Windsor Road in Bloomfield to Intellicam Systems.  This West Chester, Ohio video surveillance distributor found the property on SiteFinder when searching for a Connecticut location.  They are very pleased with their location near Bradley International Airport and the Hartford market as they deal often with clients internationally.

Administrator Prize of $100:  Barbara Petrosky of Matthews Commercial Properties for a deal submitted by Ed Godin for his role in the purchase of 341 Christian Street in Oxford by Natural Sourcing, a distributor of organic ingredients for cosmetic purposes who have moved and expanded their operations from the Bronx.

SiteFinder is managed by the Connecticut Economic Resource Center, Inc.  Membership allows a region, town or broker to promote available real estate on the nationally marketed web site, www.CTSiteFinder.com, which currently lists more than 2,600 properties representing more than 45 million available square feet, with exposure to more than 100 real estate firms and their brokers.  Since its inception in 1997, more than 15.5 million square feet of space in Connecticut has been leased, purchased or constructed via SiteFinder.
