CERC has received a 2007 Silver Mercury Award in the category of Interactive Media for our web site (www.cerc.com), which was redesigned as part of recent strategic rebranding efforts.
The award was presented by the local chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) during their annual Mercury Awards Dinner which honors excellence in the public relations, communications and marketing professions.
CERC's web site features key products, services and programs for visitors who include members of state agencies, municipal officials, economic development professionals, and current clients. The total time per visit since its redesign has increased on the average by nearly sixty seconds.
"Presenting our company and services well online is critical to our success. Our web site is an important communication tool to support CERC's mission to provide objective research, marketing and economic development services and help make Connecticut more competitive," said Robert Santy, president and CEO of CERC.
The award entries were judged by a third-party (PRSA Oregon Chapter), and winners were selected with consideration to exemplying outstanding work, strategic and creative excellence, and a higher quality of performance in the communications field.
CERC's web site was also recognized recently with a "Superior" mark and "Best in Class" promotions award from the Northeastern Economic Development Association.
