As the Director of Real Estate, Melissa Pasquale oversees and promotes CERC SiteFinder®, an online database of available commercial properties in Connecticut. Her main focus is connecting real estate brokers throughout the state with companies interested in moving to or expanding within Connecticut. She also maintains the database of properties and helps firms locate resources, agencies and organizations that can provide them with further assistance. In addition, Ms. Pasquale works closely with local and regional economic development professionals to assist them with their real estate projects.
Previously, Ms. Pasquale was the director of market research/web publishing for CB Richard Ellis-N.E. Partners. In this capacity she was responsible for tracking and providing statistical analysis for more than 2,500 office and industrial buildings throughout Greater Hartford and New Haven, as well as creating and publishing quarterly market reports. She also offered research and marketing support to the CB Richard Ellis brokerage and appraisal professionals and clients, maintained and authored the CB Richard Ellis Hartford and New Haven local web sites, and hired and managed college interns. Prior to that, she was a customer service representative at Valleylab in Boulder, Colorado.
Outside of the office, Ms. Pasquale is a founding member, current vice president and recruitment chair of "The Rising Stars," a local educational and networking organization for junior professionals in commercial real estate and related fields. She is also involved with the professional organizations Real Estate Finance Association (REFA) and Commercial Industrial Division (CID). She is also a member of the Connecticut Economic Development Association (CEDAS), and recently completed the New England Economic Development Course.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado with an emphasis in Latin American Studies. Ms. Pasquale also participated in the university's study abroad program completing a semester at the University of Seville in Spain.
