The town of Groton recently was the recipient of a free one-year SiteFinder membership in a drawing held at the annual CERC SiteFinder Showcase. As Connecticut's most comprehensive database of commercial and industrial real estate, SiteFinder provides the town with an opportunity to further promote available properties and increase their reach in attracting businesses to the area.
Membership allows the town to promote available real estate on the nationally marketed SiteFinder web site (www.ctsitefinder.com), with exposure to nearly 100 commercial brokerage firms and hundreds of brokers in the state and automatic linkage to national online listing services. Each SiteFinder entry contains a photo and profile of the site or facility, including location, lease or cost information, access and other data.
"We are excited to be getting more exposure for the town and all we have to offer through SiteFinder," said Barbara Strother, Economic and Community Development Specialist for the town of Groton. "Groton has a lot to offer businesses, including an Enterprise Zone, great coastal location along the I-95 corridor, and the all-important quality of life factor."
SiteFinder currently has more than 2,600 active listings, equating to more than 51 million square feet and more than 11,000 acres available for lease or purchase. Since its inception in 1997, 9.7 million square feet of space has been leased, purchased or constructed via SiteFinder, associated with retaining and creating approximately 7,000 jobs statewide.
"Each municipal member of SiteFinder receives a link to all available commercial and industrial properties in their respective town," said Melissa Pasquale, director of real estate at CERC. "This is a great benefit and can easily be placed on their economic development web site."
