Three Connecticut Top Ranking Officials Join the CERC Board

The Connecticut Economic Resource Center, Inc. (CERC), a nonprofit firm dedicated to economic development research, policy and marketing in Connecticut, has announced the appointment of new board members Anthony Palermino - Commissioner for the Department of Public Utility Control, Anthony Sherman - Business Development Project Manager for Connecticut Natural Gas, and Patricia Downs - Executive Director for the Department of Economic and Community Development.
Commissioner Palermino focuses primarily on telecommunications and cable television issues within DPUC and resides in Newington. Sherman, in addition to his work with Connecticut Natural Gas, currently serves as the co-chair of the Northeast Gas Association Sales and Marketing Committee and resides in Berlin. Downs, who resides in Killingworth, works for DECD, which has a mission of developing and implementing of policies, strategies and programs designed to enhance Connecticut's communities and business environment.
In addition to the appointment of two new board members, CERC officials re-elected John Emra - Regional Vice President, External and Legislative Affairs of AT&T as the board chairman, John O'Toole - Manager of Economic and Community Development for Northeast Utilities as treasurer, and John Ferrantino - Director of Customer Solutions for Yankee Gas Services Company as secretary.
