CERC Names Sullivan as Vice President of Marketing
5/3/2010
The Connecticut Economic Resource Center, Inc. (CERC) has announced the promotion of Kristiana Hoffa Sullivan from Director to Vice President of Marketing.
Sullivan joined the firm in 2000, when CERC’s website and other marketing tools were traditional in nature. Since then, Sullivan has morphed the firm’s and its clients’ marketing efforts into the latest, most popularized tools implementing eMarketing, interactive electronic customer outreach, web logs (blogs) and other highly effective, targeted, social and viral marketing tools. During her oversight of CERC’s marketing services, revenues from the department have nearly tripled. Sullivan will continue to oversee responsibilities for CERC’s internal and client marketing services while supporting and assisting the President with the strategic direction of the company which includes a strong focus in growth for the company’s economic development and research departments.
Sullivan’s work accomplishments have included the creation of marketing and public relations strategies and implementation for CERC’s state, local and nonprofit clients such as launching the state’s You Belong in Connecticut campaign where partners of the program focused on retaining Connecticut’s young workforce. Sullivan also managed and directed marketing for the Early Childhood Education Initiative under the State Department of Education where the team continues to create and implement programs that will close the achievement gap. Most recently, she is working to promote the policy efforts of the Connecticut Regional Institute for the 21st Century and to help the state secure a portion of the $3.8 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant money slated for the Race to the Top federal program in an effort to improve education and address school reform.
“Kristi’s leadership, enthusiasm and 10 years of commitment to CERC is invaluable to our mission of providing economic development expertise to our clients and partners to help build a more competitive economic environment in Connecticut,” said President and CEO Bob Santy.
Sullivan is a graduate of Boston University and an avid yoga practitioner, teaching evening yoga classes in her hometown of West Hartford.
